Right Craniotomy, Posterolateral Orbitotomy and Extradural Anterior Clinoidectomy for Clipping of Complex Anterior Communicating Artery Aneurysm

This video is about surgery for a complex type of brain aneurysm that has ruptured, called an ACOM.

The patient was a 51-year-old man who had fainted and severe bleeding was seen in his brain CT scan. In this surgery, the doctor always tries to prevent pressure on the brain and by placing clips on the brain vessels, reduces the amount of brain bleeding.

In this surgery, the aneurysm was closed and the blood vessels in which the blood flows remained intact.

The photo you see at the end of the video is the photo after the surgery, when the aneurysm is completely removed.
